Floating Miller & Carter Restaurant Sinks at Lakeside
Shoppers at Essex’s Lakeside shopping centre got an alarming sight when the floating Miller & Carter restaurant started to sink. The entire venue appeared to be going under, leaving onlookers stunned.

County Fire and Rescue were alerted around 11am but didn’t need to jump in. Site staff are handling the crisis themselves. Luckily, no one was inside the restaurant when it began to submerge, confirmed a fire spokeswoman.
“Going Down Like the Titanic”
Witnesses were left shocked as the restaurant quietly slipped beneath the water’s surface. One onlooker dramatically compared the scene to the sinking of the Titanic.
Cause of Sinking Still Unknown
