A detached house has gone up in smoke after its roof caught fire in a massive blaze.
Firefighters Battle Relentlessly
Station commander Clive Robinson said, “Crews are working extremely hard to put out this massive fire and are expected to remain on the scene for some time.“
Smoke Warning and Road Closures
The fire is sending thick smoke billowing into the air. Locals are urged to keep windows and doors firmly shut to avoid inhaling the hazardous fumes.
The A21 between Rushmore Hill and Hewitts roundabout is shut to traffic. Drivers are strongly advised to steer clear of the area.
Emergency Response Underway
- The fire brigade was called at 2.17 a.m.
- Firefighters from Orpington, Biggin Hill, Bromley, and other stations rushed to the scene.
