Northbound Diversion:

  • Exit A12 at Junction 27 (Spring Lane Interchange)
  • Follow A133 through Colchester
  • At the A1232 Ipswich Road roundabout, take the first exit
  • Continue on A1232 northbound and rejoin A12 at Junction 29

Southbound Diversion:

  • Exit A12 at Junction 29
  • Take second exit onto A1232 at the roundabout
  • At St Andrew’s Avenue/Cowdray Avenue roundabout, take third exit onto A133
  • Follow A133 through Colchester to Spring Lane Roundabout
  • Take second exit and rejoin A12 southbound at Junction 27
