A31 Shut Both Ways Near Bere Regis After Horror Crash
The A31 in Dorset is shut both ways near Bere Regis following a serious collision involving multiple vehicles. The smash happened just after 11pm at Stag Gate and has snarled traffic between the Roundhouse and Bere Regis roundabouts.
Multi-Vehicle Wreck Causes Chaos
Emergency crews raced to the scene after a three-vehicle collision caused four casualties — two women, one man, and a child. Firefighters from Poole and Bere Regis joined paramedics, an off-duty firefighter, and a doctor to treat victims at the scene.
Three adults were rushed to hospital. All vehicles have been stabilised and made safe, but the road closure is expected to last well into the early hours.
Major Diversions in Place
Traffic is being diverted eastbound from Bere Regis along the A35 towards Poole, then north on the A350 at Upton to rejoin the A31 near Sturminster Marshall. Westbound drivers are advised to follow the reverse route.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area and expect delays. More updates to follow as this develops.
