Serious Crash Closes A256 Sandwich Bypass
Chaos on the A256 Sandwich bypass after a collision between a van and motorcyclist has shut the road and caused heavy traffic delays.
Major Delays as Road Remains Shut
The crash happened just after 11.30am on Wednesday between the A257 Ash Road roundabout and the A258 for Deal. Traffic is now backed up as police keep the road closed.
Air Ambulance Rushes to Scene
The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was scrambled to the incident. Medics are treating the motorcyclist, who has sustained serious injuries.
Kent Police confirmed: “Officers were called to the A256 Sandwich bypass at 11.41am following a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a van. One person has serious injuries and the road remains closed.”
Emergency services, including paramedics, remain at the scene.
