Dorset Police hunt witnesses after fatal crash on A35 Upton bypass
Tragic Death on A35
A 24-year-old woman from Poole has died following a collision on the A35 Upton bypass on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
At around 8:10pm, officers were alerted about a woman walking eastbound near the Shell garage, heading from Upton. Moments later, reports came in that she had been struck by a vehicle.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, closing the road as specialist officers carried out investigations.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Police Sergeant Lee Savage of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who tragically lost her life in this collision. We are working tirelessly to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident.”
He added: “We know there were many witnesses to the incident, and I urge anyone who has not yet spoken to police to come forward. We are particularly keen to hear from motorists who may have seen or captured dashcam footage of the woman walking along the dual carriageway, the driving of other vehicles, or the moments leading up to the collision.”
