Bluewater Preps First-Ever Scrumptious Food Festival This Bank Holiday
Bluewater Shopping Centre is set to thrill food fans with its inaugural Scrumptious Food Festival. Running over the bank holiday weekend from May 25 to 27, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest food events in the region. Expect a buzz of artisan stalls, street food vendors, and top-notch celebrity chefs.
Feast Your Eyes on a Gigantic 12,000 sq ft Foodie Wonderland
Hosted outside in a massive 12,000-square-foot marquee at Bluewater’s village, visitors can dive into a vibrant mix of street food and artisan goodies. The festival aims to raise Kent’s culinary bar, blending local flavours with mouth-watering international fare.
Celebrity Chef Line-Up to Sizzle on The Big Cookery Stage
The showstopper? The “Big Cookery Stage” where celebrity chefs will wow crowds with live demos. Big names include British TV chef Rosemary Shrager, GBBO 2020 finalist Laura Adlington, and ITV Lorraine’s ‘Cake Club Queen’ Suzy Pelta.
Adding star power, 2023 GBBO favourite Saku Chandrasekara, cookbook author and GBBO 2014 contestant Chetna Makan, GBBO 2021 finalist Chigs Parmar, and semi-finalist Jurgen Krauss will also be present, sharing tips and tantalising tastes.
Locals and Foodies Set for a Global Culinary Tour
Foodies can expect treats from Kent’s own Whitstable Oyster Trading Company and fiery Pakistani street bites by Baba Dhaba. Festival organiser Lotte Duncan enthused, “We are thrilled to bring celebrity chefs to Bluewater. Their demos promise excitement and inspiration.”
James Waugh, Bluewater’s Centre Director, added, “Interest in this debut food festival is huge. We’re proud to host such talented chefs and bakers and can’t wait for visitors to learn from the very best.”
Final Call for Artisans But Market Stalls Almost Full
The street food market is at capacity, but artisan traders specialising in homewares or gifts can still apply through Humble Country. This festival promises to be a feast for all, from die-hard food fans to casual tasters eager to discover new flavours.
Don’t miss out when Bluewater’s Scrumptious Food Festival takes over this May bank holiday weekend – it’s set to be a culinary blockbuster!
