Cyclist Hospitalised After Crash with Portsmouth Bus at Hilsea Roundabout
A cyclist was rushed to hospital after being hit by a bus in Portsmouth this afternoon. The smash happened just after 2pm at the busy Hilsea Roundabout.
Emergency Crews Race to Scene
The man collided with a single-decker bus serving the Paulsgrove area. Emergency services, including the Hazardous Area Response Team and two land ambulances from South Central Ambulance Service, quickly arrived to assist.
Minor Injuries but Major Delays
A Hampshire Police spokesperson confirmed the cyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to QA Hospital in Cosham for treatment.
Traffic Chaos as Roads Shut
Police shut a bus lane on Hilsea Roundabout, causing heavy delays. Officers managed traffic in a single lane while the rescue ran its course. All emergency vehicles cleared the scene by around 3pm.
