A fire erupted on a London vessel just after 7.30pm on Thursday, April 20, sending emergency services into overdrive. The London Coastguard raised the alarm, triggering a major response from London Fire Brigade crews.
Six Fire Engines and Fire Boat Battle Blaze
Firefighters deployed six fire engines and the London fire boat to fight the blaze. Thankfully, the fire was confined to the engine room and hasn’t spread further around the vessel.
Passengers and Crew Evacuated Safely
- Four crew members and several passengers were evacuated safely before the fire crews arrived.
- The large emergency response was due more to the vessel’s tricky position than the fire’s size.
London Fire Brigade has been contacted for an official statement. Stay tuned for updates as the situation unfolds.
