Selsey Coastguard sprang into action on Friday, 16 December 2022 at 5:19pm after reports surfaced of a vessel on fire right by Selsey Lifeboat Station.
Owner Sets Vessel Ablaze on Shoreline
The boat was found burning on the shoreline, deliberately set on fire instead of being disposed of safely and responsibly by its owner.
Firefighters Let the Flames Burn Out
West Sussex Fire Service from Chichester arrived on scene. After assessing the situation, they decided to let the vessel burn out rather than dousing the flames.
