Exclusive: Pilot and Passenger Walk Away Unscathed as Plane Crash-Lands in Yateley

A light aircraft crash-landed in Yateley, Hampshire this afternoon, but miraculously, both the pilot and his passenger escaped without a scratch.

Emergency Crews Race to Scene

Hampshire Fire and Rescue teams from Yateley, Hartley Wintney, and Basingstoke were quick to respond after the plane went down behind the Crown and Cushions pub on Minley Road.

Crash Details Emerge

The plane had taken off from Blackbushe Airport and went down shortly after 5pm. Witnesses say the pilot was trying to return to the airport when disaster struck, smashing into two trees and ripping off the wing.

Despite the terrifying crash, the pilot managed to escape the wreckage before firefighters arrived on scene.

Investigation Underway

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) rushed to the site Monday evening to start piecing together what caused the crash. More updates expected as the inquiry unfolds.
