Tragic Motorcycle Death on M25 During Police Chase
A motorcyclist has died in a collision with a car on the M25 near Lakeside. The crash happened after the car was being pursued by police.
Late-Night Collision at Junction 30
Essex Police rushed to the scene around 11:40 pm on Sunday, 14 April. Despite their quick response, the motorcyclist died at the scene. The crash involved a car and a motorcycle.
Police Pursuit Under Investigation
Kent Police had been chasing the car before the collision. Following protocol, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has been called in to investigate the police pursuit and the incident.
Road Closure and Witness Appeal
Part of the roundabout at junction 30 was closed for several hours due to accident investigation work. The road reopened by 10:30 am on Monday, 15 April.
Essex Police are asking anyone with dashcam footage or information about the crash to come forward. Quote incident number 1331 of 14 April when contacting police on 101, or dial 999 in emergencies.
