Bin Blaze Sparks Late-Night Gym Drama in Burgess Hill
Firefighters raced to Pure Gym on London Road, Burgess Hill after a bin fire broke out in the lobby just after 3am.
Rapid Response from West Sussex Fire and Rescue
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS) were alerted at 3.12am and quickly deployed two fire engines to tackle the flames. A spokeswoman revealed crews arrived equipped with breathing apparatus and used high-pressure hose reels and jets to douse the fire.
No Evacuations, Police Assist on Scene
Fortunately, no evacuations were needed. Sussex Police were on hand to support the fire service. The situation was under control, and firefighters had cleared the scene by 6.30am.
Cause of the Fire Under Investigation
