Brave Fire Crews Rescue Driver Trapped After Boarhunt Crash

A driver was trapped and had to be cut free after their car left the road in Boarhunt, just outside Fareham, last night.

Ford Fiesta Hits Flood Water, Ends Up in Ditch

The red Ford Fiesta reportedly hit floodwater on the road, losing control before ending up in a side ditch. The incident took place shortly before 8pm on Tuesday evening, causing alarm among local residents.

Firefighters Use Hydraulic Tools to Cut Driver Free

Two fire crews from Fareham and nearby stations raced to the scene. They used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the driver, who was trapped and complaining of back pain.

Driver Taken to Hospital on Spinal Board

Once rescued, the driver was carefully placed on a spinal board to prevent further injury. They were then rushed to QA Hospital in Cosham by the South Central Ambulance Service (SCA).
