Blaze Tears Through Garden Shed and Bungalow in New Romney
Firefighters raced to battle a fierce blaze after a garden shed went up in flames and spread to a nearby bungalow on Dunes Road, Greatstone, near New Romney.
Firefighters Fight Intense Blaze
Crews decked out in breathing apparatus tackled the fire using a main jet, a high-pressure hose reel, and a compressed air foam jet. The quick fire attack stopped the flames from spreading further.
No Injuries But Support on Scene
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the fire. The British Red Cross support team arrived to help the displaced occupants as they dealt with the aftermath.
Electricity Cut Off for Safety
UK Power Networks engineers were called in to isolate the electricity supply to the shed, preventing further risk as firefighters worked to extinguish the flames.
Fire Comes Under Control
Fire crews managed to get the blaze under control and had it fully extinguished by 9.25pm, bringing relief to the local community.
