Firefighters scrambled to tackle a fierce fire that erupted in Newhaven on Saturday afternoon, March 21.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service revealed crews from Newhaven were called out at 4.25pm to a blaze in open land off McKinley Way.
Flames Rage Near Industrial Estate – No Injuries
The fire ignited in shrubland just behind the town’s retail and industrial estate, close to an access road. Emergency teams acted fast to control the blaze. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
Cause Still a Mystery
Officials have yet to establish what sparked the fire. Investigators will launch a probe to uncover the cause in the coming days.
