First Dates Star and Paramedic Laura Tott Tests Positive for Coronavirus
Laura Tott, known for her role as a waitress on First Dates, has tested positive for Coronavirus while working as a paramedic with the London Ambulance Service.
From Reality TV to Frontline Hero
Laura, who became a fully registered paramedic in April 2019, revealed her diagnosis on Instagram. Despite suspecting she had the virus, the official confirmation still stunned her.
“I know I’ve been quieter on social media recently but I’ve felt like absolute rubbish. Never had any form of flu before so I’m not handling it well… Never slept so much!”
Warning Signs and Staying Positive
Laura opened up about her symptoms to raise awareness, urging people to take early signs seriously.
- Loss of taste and smell as first symptoms
- Felt like sinusitis afterwards
- No cough or fever initially—and still none now
“Just wanna thank every single person who is staying in their 1 and doing their bit still, let’s all beat this Rona b***h. I’m one of the lucky ones and just want to spread awareness.”
Supporting the NHS and Keeping Spirits Up
Laura also praised those staying home to protect the NHS and thanked key workers receiving the weekly Thursday applause across the UK.
“Stay safe and well everyone! Netflix recommendations welcome, it’s gonna be a long week for me.”
