Three-Vehicle Smash Brings A31 to Standstill
Dorset Police were called to a nasty collision on the A31 at 2.23pm on Wednesday, June 15. The crash involved a Mercedes Benz A-Class, a Volkswagen Touareg, and a blue Kia Sportage between Canford Bottom roundabout and Forest Links Road junction.
Woman in 50s Suffers Serious Injuries
The female driver of the Kia, from Hampshire and in her 50s, was seriously hurt and rushed to Poole Hospital. The Mercedes driver and two passengers were also taken to hospital for treatment following the crash.
Road Closed for Over Two Hours
Emergency services closed the A31 to respond safely, reopening it around 4.55pm. Police thanked the public for their patience during the delay.
Call for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
“I am appealing to any motorists who witnessed the collision, or moments leading up to it,” said PC Kier Dagnall from the traffic unit. “If you were in the area and have dashcam footage, please check it to help our investigation.”
