Gosport Garage Destroyed in Early Morning Tumble Dryer Blaze
A garage in Gosport was left gutted today after a tumble dryer caught fire just after 7am.
Firefighters Race to Scene
Crews from Gosport and Fareham rushed to the house on Glebe Drive. Two firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, tackled the fierce flames using a high-pressure hose reel.
Damage and Safety Fears Rise
Luckily, no one was injured in the blaze. However, smoke and fire caused significant damage to the garage and its contents.
Concerns are mounting over thousands of tumble dryers across the UK at risk of bursting into flames. The culprit model is believed to be among those currently being recalled by manufacturers.
