Huge Blaze Hits Warley Home – One Dead, Elderly Man Hospitalised
Emergency crews scrambled to tackle a massive house fire on Milton Road, Warley, on Friday, November 28. Seven fire engines battled thick smoke that engulfed the Brentwood area, sparking panic and forcing road closures.
Tragedy Strikes as Woman Dies at Scene
The blaze turned deadly when a woman was pronounced dead on site. An elderly man was rushed to hospital with smoke inhalation. Nearby residents were shaken but thankfully, the occupants of a neighbouring home – also damaged by the fire – escaped without injury.
Police: Fire Not Suspicious, Residents Urged to Stay Safe
Essex Police confirmed the blaze isn’t being treated as suspicious. However, locals have been warned to keep windows and doors closed due to heavy smoke drifting across the area.
“Emergency services were called to a large house fire at a house in Milton Road, Warley, Brentwood,” said a police spokesperson. “Firefighters worked hard to bring the fire under control. Sadly, a woman died at the scene, and her next of kin have been informed. An elderly man was treated for smoke inhalation. A second house sustained fire damage but no occupants were injured.”
