Serious Crash Shuts A249 Northbound in Kent
The A249 northbound between the M2 and A2 is shut after a heavy collision involving two cars and a motorcycle. The smash happened around 3.30pm on Saturday, causing major delays. Kent’s Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance rushed to the scene amid serious injuries.

Follow Diversion Signs – Hollow Diamond Route
Drivers are urged to follow the Hollow Diamond diversion:
- Leave the A249 at Stockbury Roundabout, taking the northbound maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Road exit towards Sittingbourne.
- Stay on Maidstone Road to the Key Street Roundabout. Take the exit onto Sheppey Way northbound.
- Continue to Bobbing Roundabout and rejoin the A249 northbound from there.
