The pile-up happened at around 12:20 PM on the M25 clockwise at Junction 1b (A296 Dartford), just before the QEII Bridge. The collision forced a full closure of the motorway both ways, causing severe congestion as delays balloon.

Traffic is crawling clockwise, with queues building back to Junction 30 (A13 Lakeside) and bogged down over the QEII Bridge. The anticlockwise carriageway is also crawling due to residual jams and rubbernecking.
A National Highways spokesperson said: “The M25 is currently blocked in both directions following a collision involving two lorries and a car. Emergency services are on scene working to clear vehicles. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and expect long delays.”
