Man Dies After High-Speed Police Chase on M25

A tragic drama unfolded on the M25 near Upminster yesterday when a man lost his life following a high-speed police pursuit.

Chase Ends in Deadly Crash at Junction 29

Just before 1pm on February 23, officers tried to pull over a car on the M25 anti-clockwise carriageway. The driver refused to stop, sparking a tense police chase. Within two minutes, the vehicle smashed into the roadside barrier at the A127 slip road near junction 29.

Driver Pronounced Dead at the Scene

Officers rushed to give first aid, but paramedics found the man critically injured. He was pronounced dead before reaching hospital. No one else was in the car at the time of the crash.

Independent Probe Launched as M25 Traffic Chaos Ensues

The force has referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), which has launched a full investigation into the pursuit and crash.
