Meads Street Post Office to Reopen on December 7th! Caroline Ansell MP has confirmed the beloved Eastbourne Post Office will officially reopen at 1pm on December 7th. The new branch will operate inside the “Welcome store,” taking over the space once used by the Co-Op, offering a full suite of Post Office services.

Community Effort Brings Post Office Back

Caroline Ansell praised the local heroes who made this happen. Meads councillors Jane Lamb and Robert Smart, along with the Meads Community Association, were instrumental in the campaign. Special thanks also went to Rev Giles Carpenter, who kindly hosted a temporary Post Office service at St John the Evangelical Church on St John’s Road until August.

A Vital Local Service Restored

The return of the Post Office is a huge win for Eastbourne locals, ensuring easy access to essential services right on their doorstep. The new location promises convenience and the full range of offerings customers rely on every day.
