Serious Crash Shuts M20 Near Folkestone
A major smash on the M20 near Folkestone has sparked a huge emergency response. Kent Fire and Rescue were scrambled after reports of a collision between junctions 11a and 12.
Air Ambulance Airlifts Injured Motorist
Three fire engines and a technical rescue unit raced to the scene. Crews were joined by paramedics from SECAmb, Kent Police, and the Kent, Surrey, and Sussex Air Ambulance Service. One person suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital.
Road Closures and Long Delays Expected
The stretch remains shut while the Serious Collision Investigation Unit conducts a full probe. Motorists should steer clear if possible—roads around Dover are already gridlocked due to port delays and heavy traffic.
