Fatal Crash on M2 Claims Life of 79-Year-Old Man

Tragedy struck on the M2 at 11.28am on Tuesday 16 February 2021. Kent Police were called to a collision involving a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a white Kia Picanto between Junctions 3 and 4.

Elderly Man Dies at Scene, Woman Injured

A 79-year-old man was sadly confirmed dead at the scene. A woman involved in the crash suffered injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Lorry Damaged in Aftermath of Crash

Shortly after the collision, debris struck a third vehicle — an articulated lorry — causing damage. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries from this vehicle.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is probing the crash. Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, saw either car beforehand, or captured dashcam footage that could help their inquiries.
