Emergency Services Respond to Incident
British Transport Police and paramedics were called just after 7pm following reports of a person being hit by a train. Upon arrival, the individual was confirmed dead at the scene.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “It is with great sadness that we report a person has been hit by a train between Lewes and Brighton. All lines are closed while emergency services deal with this tragedy.”
