Tragic Crash on A4: PC James Dixon and Passenger Dead After Horror Collision

Emergency crews are still at the scene of a fatal crash on the A4 Bath Road, Wargrave, after a collision at around 1.50pm today. The crash involved a car and a motorcycle ridden by on-duty Thames Valley Police officer PC James Dixon.

Beloved ‘Road Wars’ Star Killed

PC James Dixon was no stranger to the public eye, having starred in the hit police reality show Road Wars, which aired on Sky1 from 2003 to 2010. Tragically, both PC Dixon and a 91-year-old passenger in the car died following the smash.

Driver Injured, Road Closed

The car’s driver, a woman, was also hurt but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. She has been rushed to hospital for treatment. The A4 remains shut and is expected to stay closed for the rest of the evening as emergency services work at the scene.

Investigation Underway

PC Dixon was based at Loddon Valley police station. Next of kin have been informed of the deaths. Thames Valley Police have launched a mandatory referral to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), who have now opened an investigation into the incident.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area while police continue their work. More updates will be released when available.
