A second man has been charged with the murder of 16-year-old Khadeem Parris, who was fatally stabbed in Northampton last month. Khadeem was attacked in the Abington area of Northampton on July 7. His family have paid tribute to the teenager, describing him as “such a kind son” who had been “ready and excited to be starting college in August”.
Second murder charge
Northamptonshire Police said Samwari Solomon, 20, of Coalhall Avenue, Motherwell, Scotland, has now been charged with Khadeem’s murder. Solomon appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody. A second defendant, Fuad Mohamud, of no fixed address, had previously been charged with Khadeem’s murder. Mohamud appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on July 14 and was also remanded in custody.
Three others remain on bail
Three other people arrested as part of the investigation remain on police bail while enquiries continue. They are a 19-year-old man, a 56-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. The investigation into Khadeem’s death remains ongoing.
