Teenager charged following Canterbury search warrant

A 17-year-old boy from London will appear in court after officers found drugs at a property in Canterbury. In response to residents’ concerns about anti-social behaviour and drug use in Canterbury, a residential address in Roper Road was searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act at around 11.30am on Friday 24 May 2019 where suspected class A drugs were seized. The teenager was arrested along with a 56-year-old woman from Canterbury, who was subsequently released pending further investigation. The boy was charged with two counts of possessing class A drugs and will next appear at Canterbury Youth Court on Monday 3 June.
