The A1M in Hertfordshire is completely closed southbound between Junction 3 (Hatfield) and Junction 1 (South Mimms, M25) right now. Hertfordshire Police are leading the operation, with Highways England stepping in to help manage the chaos.

Follow This Diversion Route

  1. Exit A1M at J3 (Roehyde Roundabout) and take the 2nd exit onto the A414 North Orbital Road heading towards St Albans.
  2. At the next roundabout, take the 4th exit towards London Colney on the A1081.
  3. Approach the following roundabout and take the 2nd exit onto the M25 at Junction 22, heading towards Junction 23 South Mimms.
  4. Leave the M25 at Junction 23 South Mimms to rejoin the A1(M).
