With capacity limits lifted, fans flocked early on Saturday morning to grab prime spots in the iconic New York hotspot. The atmosphere was electric as expectant partygoers waited to welcome 2023.
Star-Studded Line-Up Lights Up the Night
The event featured a stellar cast including 123 Cutler, JVKE, Ava Max, Osmani Garcia, New Edition, Chesca, and Duran Duran. Just before midnight, Cutler led the crowd in a poignant rendition of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” stirring thousands to sing along.
Countdown, Confetti and Kisses Galore
As the clock ticked down, New York City Mayor Eric Adams got the honour of pushing the button to start the dazzling 60-second descent of the iconic Waterford Crystal ball. Neon lights and spectacular fireworks lit up the sky.
The celebrations peaked with the crowd’s roar during the countdown, followed by the classic “Auld Lang Syne” and Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” blasting through the speakers while confetti showered down. New York was back to its legendary party self!
