Piers Morgan signed off from Good Morning Britain yesterday before jetting off on holiday. His co-host, Susanna Reid, is also taking a well-earned break.
Jeremy Kyle Steps In to Boost Summer Ratings
ITV has pulled a surprise by bringing in Jeremy Kyle to keep the breakfast show’s ratings soaring while Piers is away. Kyle said, “I’m really looking forward to being back on GMB this August to wake the nation up over the summer holidays. Now all I need to do is find my alarm clock!”
Star-Studded Line-Up on Deck
- Kate Garraway teams up with Jeremy Kyle, co-hosting Monday to Wednesday.
- Familiar faces Eamonn Holmes and Charlotte Hawkins return from 31st July, hosting the early week shows.
- Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd take charge Thursday and Friday.
Jeremy Kyle is no stranger to GMB, having guest presented over Easter last year. He’s a fan favourite thanks to his own hit show, The Jeremy Kyle Show.
Richard Madeley Joins the Summer Line-Up
Adding to the star power, Richard Madeley, 61, will also present Good Morning Britain later in August. Meanwhile, Eamonn Holmes is busy hosting ITV’s This Morning with wife Ruth Langsford as Phil and Holly take a summer break.
