Tragedy on A361: Elderly Driver Dies in Horror Crash
Police are urgently hunting witnesses after a fatal smash on the A361 near Beckhampton last night (16/7).
A Range Rover Evoque and a lorry collided just before 6.45pm between Beckhampton and Devizes. The car’s driver, a man in his 80s, sadly died at the scene.
Road Closure Causes Chaos
The lorry driver escaped unharmed. But the A361 remains shut from Beckhampton roundabout to the Blacklands junction and is expected to stay closed for most of today (17/7) while investigations continue.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Specially trained officers are supporting the victim’s family at this difficult time.
