A woman in her 20s has died following a serious three-vehicle collision on the A27 near Arundel, prompting an appeal from police for witnesses and dashcam footage. Emergency services were called to the junction of Poling Street and the A27 Arundel Road at around 11.15pm on Wednesday 15 July following reports of a serious collision involving three vehicles. The woman, who was from Sidlesham, was travelling as a passenger in one of the vehicles. Despite the efforts of emergency services, she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Family supported by specialist officers
Sussex Police confirmed the woman’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. The A27 remained closed for several hours overnight while collision investigators examined the scene and emergency crews worked to make the area safe.
Police appeal for witnesses
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision is now underway. Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area around the time of the collision, to come forward.
