Netanyahu Shuts Down Calls for Ceasefire Amid Gaza Crisis

Benjamin Netanyahu has slammed the door on any temporary ceasefire in Gaza, ignoring growing pressure from Western powers for a humanitarian pause. After talks with the US Secretary of State, the Israeli Prime Minister declared Israel would press on with full military force — unless Israeli hostages are returned first.

“I tell our enemies to the north, don’t test us. You will pay dearly,” Netanyahu warned, making clear Israel’s ruthless resolve to defend itself. He promised the world that Israeli forces are operating at maximum strength on every front.

Hezbollah Leader Issues Stark Warning

Not to be outdone, Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah fired back with a blunt warning. He called any Israeli attack on Lebanon the “stupidest mistake” Israel could commit. Nasrallah pointed to constant skirmishes along the Lebanon-Israel border since the Hamas conflict kicked off and warned the conflict could spiral further out of control.

“On our front, all options are open. We must be ready for all possibilities,” Nasrallah declared, signalling Hezbollah’s readiness to retaliate if provoked.

Casualty Toll Soars as Violence Rages On

  • Hamas launched an attack in October, kidnapping around 240 people and killing nearly 1,400.
  • Israeli strikes have since killed over 9,200 Palestinians in Gaza, according to the Hamas-controlled health ministry.
  • The ministry also claimed an ambulance convoy carrying critically injured patients was targeted, causing more casualties.
  • Israel’s military says it is investigating these claims.

The humanitarian toll keeps mounting as both sides dig in for a long, brutal conflict.
