Massive Drug and Money Laundering Bust Rocks NSW

NSW Police’s Organised Crime Squad has smashed a major money laundering and drug distribution ring in a sweeping crack-down. Seven suspects now face serious charges following Operation Phobetor-Enyo — a joint task force effort involving NSW Police, the Australian Federal Police, and other crime-fighting agencies.

From Vietnam to NSW: Syndicate Uncovered

The investigation, launched in 2022, tracked a 37-year-old Vietnamese man running a slick money laundering scheme based in New South Wales. The gang reportedly turned huge volumes of cash into cryptocurrency, fueling Australia’s underground drug trade.

Strike Force Spartan sprang into action to tackle branches of this syndicate scattered across NSW, leading to a wave of arrests and seizures.

Police seized $50,000 cash, money counters, crypto wallets, electronics, drugs, and key documents during the raids. All evidence is now under forensic scrutiny as the probe continues.
