Toxic Plastic Containers Found on Isle of Wight Coastline!
Coastguard on High Alert
The Isle of Wight Needles Coastguard Rescue Team was called into action this afternoon to track down plastic containers scattered along the island’s South West coastline.
Hazardous Haul Discovered
At high tide, rescuers found around a dozen containers. The search resumed at low tide, uncovering another dozen. Among them, one was clearly marked as toxic and another held an unknown liquid.
Council Steps In
The local council was alerted and took charge of safe disposal early this morning. Officials say there’s no danger to the wider community from the find.
