Lorry cross over closes A1 in Nottingham

The A1 in Nottinghamshire is closed in both directions due to a collision where a lorry has crossed from one carriageway onto the other between the A57 (Markham Moor) and the B6387 (Elkesley). Nottinghamshire Police are on scene with Ambulance Services and Fire & Rescue. Northbound motorists should follow the solid square symbol: Exit at Markham Moor and travel north on the A638 via Retford, Barnby Moor, and Scrooby. Turn left onto the A614 and travel south easterly to re-join the A1. Southbound follow solid triangle. Take A614 south. At roundabout with A616 take first exit. Head east on A616 to Ollerton. Turn right on to A616 south to South Muskham. Turn left on to B6325 and continue to A1.
