Knife-Wielding Thug Robs Cyclist at Pangbourne Station
Police are hunting witnesses after a man was robbed at knifepoint in broad daylight in Pangbourne.
At around 8.50am last Sunday (4/10), a 22-year-old cyclist had just stepped off a train at Pangbourne Train Station and was heading to work in Lower Basildon.
Shocking Attack at Hartslock Court Bus Stop
Riding down the ramp towards Shooters Hill, the victim spotted two figures near the bus stop. As he cycled past, one suddenly grabbed and shoved him off his bike before threatening him with a knife.
The attacker made off with the cyclist’s bag, which contained a book and a phone charger. Luckily, the victim escaped unharmed.
Police Appeal for Dashcam Footage and Witnesses
The main suspect is described as a slim white teenage boy, 15-16 years old, about 5ft 10ins tall. He wore a black face mask, hoodie, and blue jeans. The second accomplice remains unidentified.
PC Joseph Robinson, of Newbury CID, said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim, who thankfully was not injured. I’m urging anyone in the area at the time to get in touch with police. If you were driving nearby around 9am last Sunday and have dashcam footage, please check it and contact us.”
