Girl Seriously Injured in Shocking Erdington Hit-and-Run
Ambulance and Air Ambulance Rush to Scene
West Midlands Ambulance Service scrambled to Church Road, Erdington at 3:26pm after a car collided with a pedestrian. They dispatched Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford, the critical care car, a land ambulance, and a paramedic officer immediately.
The first responders were on site within just five minutes.
Rapid Treatment and Emergency Transfer
A West Midlands Ambulance spokeswoman revealed: “Crews arrived to find the pedestrian, a young girl, in a serious condition following the collision.”
“Our staff worked swiftly to treat her injuries at the scene before alerting Birmingham Children’s Hospital via the Regional Trauma Desk at the Emergency Operations Centre.”
The land ambulance sped through traffic with blue lights and sirens, with the critical care paramedic providing ongoing treatment on board.
