Manhunt Underway After Brutal Stabbing on North London Street
Police launched a major manhunt after a man was stabbed multiple times in a gruesome attack on Green Lanes, North London, Tuesday night.
Armed Police and Air Ambulance Rush to Scene
Just before 10pm, emergency services including Armed Police stormed the area. The victim was given urgent treatment by London Air Ambulance doctors on the roadside, before being rushed to a major trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
A National Police Air Support helicopter was scrambled to hunt the fleeing knifeman, who vanished after the savage assault.
Search Dog Scours Crime Scene
Police deployed a search dog to comb the area, tracking both the suspect and the weapon used in the vicious attack. A large crime scene cordon is in place, with major crime detectives already on site conducting a thorough investigation.
Witness Describes ‘Attempted Murder’ Attack
“It was brutal. He was clearly trying to kill the victim, who collapsed on the floor,” said a stunned eyewitness. “Police arrived quickly and used specialist bandages to stem the bleeding.”
The Met Police have so far declined to comment. More details expected as the investigation unfolds.
