A youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon. He is currently held in police custody and is set to appear at Swindon Remand Court tomorrow (18/10).

Police Praise Family and Community Support

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker, leading the probe, paid tribute to the victim’s family. He said, “I would like to pay tribute to Lee’s family for their dignity and support during this ongoing investigation as they come to terms with the loss of a loved one. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.”

He also thanked locals in Swindon’s Gorse Hill and Pinehurst areas for their patience. “Thank you to the community for supporting our officers and allowing them to carry out their work,” DCI Walker added.

Others Released Amid Ongoing Investigation

  • An 18-year-old man, arrested earlier in connection with the case, has been released on conditional bail.
  • A 24-year-old man has been released under investigation.
