Drug bust drama unfolded on 14 September 2021 when police swooped in at a Thornton Heath home.
Darren Lewis was stopped at the doorstep. Inside, officers found Christian Bayoko surrounded by a hammer and stashed drugs: 20 wraps of heroin and 66 wraps of crack cocaine.
The raid uncovered more than just drugs — officers also seized paraphernalia, two mobiles, a hammer, and a Samurai sword. The haul’s street value? Nearly £1,700.
Justice Served at Basildon Crown Court
Christian Bakoyo, 26, of Westbrook Road, and Darren Lewis, 37, of Appletree Way, faced drug charges and appeared at Southend-on-Sea Magistrates’ Court two days after their arrest.
Both denied all charges but were found guilty at Basildon Crown Court on 10 March.
Bakoyo landed 3 years and 6 months behind bars plus £190 in costs for supply of crack cocaine and heroin. Lewis received a 12-month community order for possession with intent to supply.
