Two Men Arrested After Death of Baby Boy in Lancashire – UKNIP

Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a baby boy in Lancashire. The tragic incident occurred on 27 July when the baby was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital in an “unresponsive” state. Despite the efforts of medical staff, the baby was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Lancashire police were called to the hospital at 7:15 pm on the same day. Following the incident, two men from Blackpool were arrested in connection with the baby’s death. The 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, while the 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing and allowing the death of a child and child neglect.

Both men have since been released on conditional bail pending further inquiries. The police are working diligently to establish the exact circumstances that led to the baby’s tragic death.

Detective Sergeant Rebecca Smith expressed her sympathy for the loved ones of the baby during this extremely distressing time. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are urging anyone who may have witnessed or heard anything related to the incident to come forward and assist with their inquiries.

A Home Office postmortem examination has already taken place, but further investigations are still required to determine the cause of the baby’s death. The authorities are seeking any additional information that could shed light on the tragic event and help provide closure to the grieving family.

As the investigation continues, the police are encouraging potential witnesses to come forward promptly to aid in the search for the truth behind this heartbreaking incident.
