Night Out Horror: Man Attacked After Asking About Dropped Phone
A man in his 30s was brutally attacked after a simple question sparked violence on a Nottingham bus. The victim was heading home following a night out with friends when he heard a phone drop on the floor.
He asked, “Is that your phone?” – but instead of a polite reply, the younger passenger snapped and became aggressive. The attacker then followed the victim off the bus and launched a serious assault.
Brutal Attack on Busy Bridgford Road
The assault happened at around 11.20pm on Bridgford Road. The victim was left seriously injured and needed hospital treatment. Thankfully, police say his injuries are not life-threatening, but the man has been left deeply traumatised.
Police Make Arrest, Hunt Continues for Attacker
Nottinghamshire Police moved fast, arresting a 50-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting the offender early this morning. Detectives are still hunting the man who carried out the attack.
“This was a serious and unprovoked assault on an entirely innocent man,” said Detective Sergeant Henson. “He was just making his way home after a night out. We are doing all we can to find the culprit.”
“The incident happened on a busy road. We urge anyone who saw the attack or has dashcam footage – or anyone on the bus who witnessed the row – to come forward.”
