Tributes are pouring in for Chloe Pearson, an 18-year-old woman who tragically lost her life in a car crash, while her twin sister miraculously survived the incident.
The devastating accident occurred when Chloe Pearson was a passenger in a white Citroen C3, which collided with a black Mercedes CLK in the quiet Leicestershire village of Cotesbach. The tragic incident unfolded at 8:30 pm on December 15.
Chloe, who hailed from Castleford in West Yorkshire, was rushed to the hospital following the crash but, sadly, succumbed to her injuries on December 17. Her twin sister, Abigale Pearson, was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but has since been discharged.
In a heartfelt tribute conveyed through the police, Abigale Pearson expressed her profound sorrow, saying, “The most devastating thing is that I came out of this incident without my twin sister. I’m mortified and heartbroken that I’ve no longer got her by my side. Rest in peace beautiful, until we meet again.”
The grief extended to the girls‘ grandmother, Elizabeth Pearson, who described Chloe as “caring, beautiful, and so full of life.” Chloe had recently embarked on a nursing career, making the loss even more poignant. Elizabeth Pearson stated, “It is so numbing; we are all in shock. The family has been ripped apart. We are all mourning together. Castleford is mourning.
The tragic incident, which claimed Chloe Pearson’s life, resulted in injuries to seven individuals. While the driver of the Citroen and one of the other passengers remain hospitalized for ongoing treatment, Abigale Pearson and another passenger from the same vehicle have been discharged.
The driver and passenger from the Mercedes involved in the collision are still in the hospital receiving care.
