Tragic Twin Crash in Leicestershire Leaves One Dead, One Injured

Mourners are paying tribute to 18-year-old Chloe Pearson, who died after a horrific car crash in the quiet Leicestershire village of Cotesbach. Her twin sister, Abigale, survived the smash but was left seriously injured.

Deadly Collision on December 15

The tragedy struck at around 8:30pm on December 15 when a white Citroen C3 carrying the twins collided with a black Mercedes CLK. Chloe, from Castleford in West Yorkshire, was rushed to hospital but sadly passed away two days later, on December 17.

Abigale Pearson was seriously hurt but has since been discharged. Other passengers and the drivers of both vehicles remain in hospital receiving treatment.

Heartbreaking Tribute from Abigale

“The most devastating thing is that I came out of this incident without my twin sister. I’m mortified and heartbroken that I’ve no longer got her by my side. Rest in peace beautiful, until we meet again,” said Abigale through a police statement.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Leicestershire Police are investigating the crash and have urged anyone with dashcam footage or information to come forward. Witnesses should quote reference number 23*771092 when contacting officers via the Leicestershire Police website.

The collision injured seven people in total, shaking the local community and sparking an ongoing probe into the fatal crash.
