Knife-Wielding Burglars Caught After High-Speed Chase in Seaford
A violent home invasion in Seaford has ended with two men and a 15-year-old teen convicted for aggravated burglary. Remy Cadoret, 20, and Romeo Dankwa, 20, both from Hackney, along with a juvenile from Bromley, forced their way into a Coxwell Close residence on January 7.
Knife-Threat and Loot Seized in Brutal Raid
During the break-in, one of the intruders brandished a knife and attacked a resident. The trio made off with cash, bank cards, and electronic gear. But their getaway was cut short after police chased them down. The burglars crashed their vehicle and were quickly arrested.
Guilty Verdicts Delivered After Gruelling Trial
All three were charged with aggravated burglary. The adults were found guilty at Lewes Crown Court following a three-week trial. The minor pleaded guilty earlier and was handed over to a youth offender panel for sentencing.
Detective Constable Steven Pittman, who led the investigation, said: “This was a shocking incident involving dangerous individuals. We hope the forthcoming sentencing will reflect the gravity of their actions and serve as a strong deterrent to others.”
Sentencing Date Set for September
Cadoret and Dankwa will learn their fate on September 20 at Lewes Crown Court. The 15-year-old’s sentencing details remain confidential due to legal protections.
