A heartwarming story of community spirit emerged today after a young boy, Winston, was safely found following a nerve-wracking one hour and 20 minutes of being missing on Dymchurch Beach. The incident, described by his family as “the worst hour and 20 minutes of our lives,” saw the local community of Hythe and Dymchurch rally together in an impressive show of solidarity.

Winston, who had wandered off while searching for “big shells,” quickly became disoriented and lost on the expansive beach. His disappearance sparked immediate concern, with numerous beachgoers and local residents joining forces to search for the boy.

Winston was eventually found safe and sound, much to the relief of his worried parents. To celebrate his safe return, Winston was treated to plenty of ice cream. His parents also shared that they plan to purchase an AirTag to ensure such an incident never happens again.

The family’s heartfelt message of gratitude resonated with many in the community, highlighting the power of collective effort in times of crisis. “Thank you Hythe and Dymchurch, everyone really pulled together today, we are a great community,” they concluded.

This incident serves as a reminder of the strong bonds within the Hythe and Dymchurch communities and the lengths to which people will go to help one another in times of need.
